Mil-Tec expands its offering with a new camouflage brand CIV-TEC® PHANTOMLEAF® — three scientifically developed camouflage patterns Wasp I Z1B, Z2 and Z3A, each adapted to a different environment type.
What is CIV-TEC® PHANTOMLEAF®
PHANTOMLEAF® originally developed the Wasp II series, which was created based on camouflage patterns used by the German military police and special forces doctors and psychiatrists. Their goal was to disrupt the connection between the eyes and the brain to break a person's ability to visually identify the presence of objects.
Using a patented algorithm based on these experiments, PHANTOMLEAF® created several camouflage patterns that almost automatically adapt to changes in the operator's environment. To introduce these models to the commercial market, MIL-TEC® and PHANTOMLEAF® collaborated and released the Wasp I series under the co-brand CIV-TEC® — this ensures that both companies control the production, distribution and sale of the products. In short, MIL-TEC® products are manufactured with PHANTOMLEAF® camouflage patterns.
MIL-TEC® Phantomleaf® Wasp I Z1B
Z1B stands for "Zone 1B" — a bright white and grey colour scheme with a slight accent of brown, green and yellowish-brown. Wasp I Z1B is designed for high-altitude regions above the treeline and tundra zones — from low shrubs to bare rocks and boulders, as well as areas where snow covers the ground. Since the pattern extensively uses white and grey, this camouflage can also work in areas where fresh snow has just fallen.
MIL-TEC® Phantomleaf® Wasp I Z2
Z2 or "Zone 2" emphasizes the use of intense brown and sand tones, mixing them with light green and white to compensate for the darker palette colours. Wasp I Z2 is intended for camouflage in low-growing vegetation — both grass and bushes, as well as rocky outcrops. In Latvian conditions, it could serve as an autumn and urban camouflage pattern.
MIL-TEC® Phantomleaf® Wasp I Z3A
Z3A stands for "Zone 3A" and is intended for use in dense vegetation — tropical jungles or deciduous forests. This pattern allows the operator to camouflage well even in border zones, such as between agricultural (crop field) and grassland (meadow) areas. In Latvian conditions, it is suitable for the spring and summer seasons.
