MilCamp is a family business with Latvia at heart. We are proud to be veteran-owned, backed by more than 25 years of military service experience in the Latvian National Armed Forces.
What started as a PDF catalogue and a small stockroom in an apartment has grown into a 160 m² tactical gear store in Kadaga, next to Camp Ādaži.
We offer military clothing, footwear and tactical gear for duty, work and outdoor use. At MilCamp you will find professional tactical brands such as LOWA, Agilite, Salomon Forces and Lindnerhof, as well as practical equipment from Helikon-Tex, Pentagon and Mil-Tec. We also work with Latvian manufacturers, including Suited Systems and Lumina Group.
Our approach is practical: understand what the gear is needed for and help you choose the right solution for the task.
VETERAN OWNED SINCE 2012
My name is Ilmārs Šķesters. I am the founder of MilCamp and a retired Major of the Latvian National Armed Forces, with more than 25 years of military service.
During my military career, I served with LATBAT (1st Inf Bn), the NAF NCO School, the National Defence Academy of Latvia, NATO Force Integration Unit Latvia, the 1st Riga Brigade of the National Guard and the Joint Headquarters of the Latvian National Armed Forces.
The idea behind MilCamp started 2012. The military field was what I knew best. During my service, I had also seen the challenges of getting good-quality equipment. I knew what soldiers actually needed and how much of a difference the right boots, comfortable clothing or well-chosen gear could make in everyday service.
MilCamp began with a PDF catalogue called “Armijai un Atpūtai” — “For Military and Outdoor Use” and a small stockroom in my apartment. An online store followed, and later our first physical shop in Ādaži.
My military experience still shapes the way I look at equipment. What matters is not just how a product looks or what the marketing says about it. What matters is whether it is suitable for the task, comfortable during extended use and compatible with the rest of your gear.

Since January 2026, our operations have been brought together at the MilCamp Kadaga store.
The MilCamp Logo
The MilCamp logo combines several elements connected to the origins of the brand and military service.
At its centre is a stylised camp - a tent or a house - with a soldier (warrior) standing in front of it, ready to protect it.
The shape of the logo also forms the letter A. This is connected to the beginning of the MilCamp founder’s military career in LATBAT — 1st Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Company, 1st Infantry Platoon. Over time, this combination from the military unit structure gained a personal A–A–A interpretation and became part of the story behind the MilCamp logo.

The MilCamp motto “Tested. Not Trendy.” describes the way we think about gear.
For us, what matters is not which product happens to be fashionable or heavily promoted at the moment. What matters is whether it does its job, solves a real problem and makes the task easier.
The most expensive option is not always the best one, and the most popular model is not necessarily the right choice for you. That is why at MilCamp we first try to understand what you need the gear for.
Duty, the shooting range, hiking, hunting, outdoor work or simply everyday use - every task has different requirements. Sometimes professional-grade equipment is the right choice. In other cases, a simpler and more affordable solution will do the job just as well.
Our job is to help you understand the difference.
WHO WE SERVE
MilCamp has its roots in the military community, so many of our customers are professional soldiers and members of the Latvian National Guard.
But MilCamp is not only for military personnel.
Our customers also include law enforcement and security professionals, Allied troops stationed in Latvia, hunters, security personnel, hikers and people who simply appreciate practical and durable clothing, footwear and equipment.
Our goal is simple: to help people find gear that fits their needs and their mission.
At our Kadaga store, you can see, compare and try products in person. The stock shown in our online store reflects what is currently available, so what you see online is also available at the Kadaga store.
