Direct Action News at Eurosatory 2026

From June 15 to 19, Eurosatory 2026 took place in Paris – one of the largest defense, security, and military industry exhibitions in the world. Every two years, it gathers representatives of armed forces, government institutions, manufacturers, and special operations units from all over the world, often setting the trends for individual equipment and tactical solutions for the coming years.

One of the companies that attracted particular attention this year was Direct Action – a Polish tactical equipment manufacturer whose products are used by military and law enforcement units worldwide.

Direct Action philosophy: "Individual as a System"

Unlike many manufacturers, Direct Action does not just create individual products — the company's core idea is Individual as a System, i.e., perceiving all soldier's equipment as part of a unified system. This means that plate carriers, belts, backpacks, medical pouches, clothing, and administrative pockets are designed to work together, rather than compete with each other.

This approach is becoming increasingly popular in NATO countries, as it allows equipment to be adapted to a specific task while maintaining ergonomics and quick access to essential gear.

Key new products at Eurosatory 2026

HAVOC Assault Medical Backpack

One of the most significant new products at the exhibition was the HAVOC Assault Medical Backpack – not an ordinary medical backpack, but a solution designed for combat medics, special operations units, rescue teams, and tactical medical groups. The construction is designed so that equipment is accessible within seconds, while maintaining stability in motion.

Medic Front Pouch

The Medic Front Pouch complements the HAVOC system. The pouch attaches to the front of the plate carrier and allows individual medical kits to be stored in a place where they can be accessed without removing the backpack. Such a solution is becoming increasingly popular in modern armed forces, as seconds are often crucial.

Combat Stretcher Wrap

Direct Action also presented a new casualty evacuation system – the Combat Stretcher Wrap, designed for transporting and storing soft stretchers.

Tubular Rescue Wrap

Another new rescue equipment item is the Tubular Rescue Wrap, designed for storing rescue webbing or ropes, providing protection from dirt, quick access, and easier transportation. Such solutions are particularly relevant for mountain units, rescuers, and special forces.

New Vanguard clothing line

Direct Action also continues to expand its tactical clothing series. During Eurosatory, the following were presented:

• Vanguard Softshell Jacket DA5 CS
• Vanguard Windshirt Jacket DA4 CS
• Vanguard Waterproof Jacket DA6 CS
• Vanguard Waterproof Trousers DA6B CS
• Vanguard Insulated Jacket DA3 CS

All models are designed for professional use and intended to work with plate carrier systems, with an emphasis on freedom of movement, weather protection, lower weight, and durability for prolonged use.

New Spitfire QR Plate Carrier

Perhaps the greatest interest was sparked by the new Spitfire QR Plate Carrier. QR stands for Quick Release — the vest uses Duraflex QRS quick-release buckles, allowing the entire system to be removed within seconds.

This is particularly important in providing medical aid, overcoming water obstacles, vehicle accidents, and changing equipment. Quick Release systems have become one of the main directions in the development of professional equipment in recent years.

New modules and accessories

In addition to the major new products, Direct Action also showcased several modules for existing platforms. One of the most interesting is the Knife Wing Attachment, which allows for ergonomic attachment of a knife, radio, multitool, flashlight, or other frequently used tools. Such seemingly small additions often significantly improve the usability of equipment.

Direct Action emphasizes that it collaborates with professional users in product development. At the Eurosatory exhibition, JW GROM veterans were also present at the company's stand, demonstrating various equipment configurations and sharing their experience of using them in real operations. It is precisely this collaboration with end-users that allows products to be perfected not only in the laboratory but also for practical use.

What this means for Baltic users?

Although many of the presented products are designed for professional units, several trends are also relevant for users in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia — a clear move towards more modular systems, faster access to medical equipment, lighter equipment, more ergonomic weight distribution, and the creation of a unified equipment ecosystem.

This is especially important for National Guard soldiers, professional service soldiers, and those who regularly participate in exercises or shooting training.

MilCamp commentary

Of all the innovations presented, the development of medical equipment particularly caught our attention. The experience of recent years in Ukraine has clearly shown that individual medicine and casualty evacuation are becoming increasingly important in every soldier's equipment. That is why the HAVOC Assault Medical Backpack and Medic Front Pouch seem to be among the most practical novelties in this presentation.

Equally interesting is Direct Action's consistent approach to creating a complete equipment system rather than separate products. Such modularity allows users to adapt their equipment to a specific task without losing compatibility between different platforms.

Of course, the true assessment can only be given after independent tests and prolonged use, but the first impression is very positive.
